Earning this credential validates your expertise, gives you the advantage among your peers, and helps you improve quality, communication, and resident care throughout your facility. The DNS-CT credential from AAPACN shows that you have the leadership and management skills and knowledge to excel as a DON. Certification indicates that you have met nationally recognized standards of expertise for directors of nursing services in long-term care, that you are up to date with the rules and regulations, and that you can lead and nurture your team.

COURSE COMPLETION

Your workshop registration includes access to the 10 DNS-CT certification exams. To earn the credential, you must be an RN and pass the final exams with a score of 80% or higher. You will have one year from the date of the workshop before your exams expire.

ACCREDITATION STATEMENT

American Association of Post-Acute Care Nursing (AAPACN) is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

CONTINUING EDUCATION HOURS

The DNS-CT certification workshop is approved for 22.5 CEs. California Only Statement: Provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider #16860, for 22.5 Contact Hours.

CANCELLATION POLICY

The Parties are not responsible for any fees incurred due to cancellations or postponements. Participant cancellations must be submitted in writing via email to workshops@AAPACN.org. Participants who are unable to attend may send a substitute in their place. Cancellations received more than thirty (30) business days prior to the start date of the workshop will receive a full refund. Cancellations received fourteen to thirty (14-30) business days prior to the start date of the workshop will receive a full refund, minus a two-hundred-and fifty-dollar ($250.00) processing fee, of which two-hundred and twenty-five dollars ($225.00) is paid to Training Partner and twenty-five dollars ($25.00) is paid to Association. No refunds will be issued for cancellations received thirteen (13) business days or less prior to the start date of the Training Workshop except for emergencies or a visit from state surveyors. State surveyors must be present in the Participant’s building in order for the Participant to receive a refund. Neither Party shall issue a refund for any Participant’s withdrawal due to weather unless the Training Workshop is cancelled.
